Plant Profile: Aloe arborescens

An oldie, but a goody. Flashes of red hot pokers coming out of winter is a signal that spring is on the way. Take a walk through Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens to get the full effect of their fantastic floral display around Guilfoyle’s Volcano.
Use as an architectural backdrop in larger garden beds, or as textual contrast within fine strap foliage and native grasses. Excellent en-mass for rocky slopes or as a potted specimen, can be grown basically anywhere a flash of colour is needed.
